With a strong business understanding and extensive experience in complex organisations, I support teams and individuals in change, crisis and transformation situations. My approach as an ICF-certified Integral Development and Team Coach goes beyond traditional solution-focused business coaching. My focus is on lasting, effective adaptive change and transition support. My clients benefit from over 25 years of leadership and executive experience in global organisations ranging from private equity to large listed companies.

Examples of my consulting work with clients range from team effectiveness coaching for small teams often in change and crisis situations to individual coaching for senior and C-level executives and high potentials.

AURES CORDIS

The company name AURES CORDIS (Latin: ears of the heart) goes back to the prologue of the Regula Benedicti. The ability to listen is a key skill in coaching, change and communications. Listening does not only focus on audible, rational facts. Listening also involves recognising the emotions and feelings, the commitment and the impact of the other person. Attentivenes, mindfulness and an unbiased openness to non-verbal communication and the subconscious are prerequisites for a comprehensive understanding of a person and their situation. Only this holistic picture makes it possible to ask effective and insightful questions. Questions that invite you to explore new territories and embark on new paths of thought and behaviour.

Founder and Managing Partner of AURES CORDIS GmbH

After more than 25 years in leadership and executive positions in corporate communications, I decided to combine my business understanding and experience in complex organisations with my passion for coaching, change and communications. In 2022 I founded my own consultancy AURES CORDIS GmbH (Latin: ‘ears of the heart’). Since then, I am supporting individuals and teams in change and transformation processes as an independent consultant. I work with senior leadership teams, executive and non-executive boards as well as with chamber music ensembles on their team effectiveness. My approach goes beyond classic solution-focused business coaching and focuses on permanently effective adaptive change.

I graduated with distinction as Executive Master in Change (EMC) at INSEAD, Fontainebleau (France), where my research focused on small team effectiveness using the example of chamber music ensembles and applying my research results to high performing teams in the business environment. I am an ICF-certified Integral Development and Team Coach. Furthermore, I have participated in the Tavistock Leicester Group Relations Conference.

In my leadership and executive roles in corporate communications and corporate office at EADS/Airbus, MTU Aero Engines, and KION Group, change and transformation projects have always been at the center of my activities: the Europeanisation of the aerospace industry, the sale of two large companies to private equity (including the complete PE cycles), in-depth financial and economic restructurings, numerous plant closures worldwide, three successful IPOs, global M&A activities with subsequent PMI, strategic reorganisations and digitalisation initiatives, the development and implementation of new corporate cultures and values, and internal mentoring and coaching of managers, C-level and other executives and teams.

In my youth, I trained as a C-level church musician. For many years, I have shared a passion for chamber music with my wife and two children and support the chamber music department at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts (HfMDK). As part of my professional work with chamber music ensembles, among other projects, I have been engaged as a team effectiveness coach at the Jeunesses Musicales International Chamber Music Campus, one of the world’s most renowned masterclasses of its kind, as well as at the University of Music and Theatre “Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy” Leipzig for chamber music ensembles participating in master courses.

I am a graduate engineer (Dipl-Ing.) in aerospace engineering (University of Stuttgart). In my early career I also obtained a Controller’s Diploma from the Controller Academy in Gauting. Furthermore, I have completed the INSEAD In-Board programme for non-executive directors.
